Our Head Office department is located in the heart of Piccadilly and occupies the 5th & 6th floor of our beautiful flagship store. This central London location, offers so much to explore including restaurants, bars, cultural sites, shopping and more, and only a short walk from the Green Park Tube Station and plenty of bus stops.

Role Purpose:

Working with the Buying team to produce beautiful, commercial and operationally practical layout planograms which optimise sales and space by store which are cascaded to and implemented by the relevant store and VM teams, in sufficient time to execute brilliantly and “right first time”.

Effective use of the Space Planning tool to store and reference historical data giving insight to inform all layout decisions. Ensuring that the business marketing campaigns are fully supported and reflected with our plans.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Taking product nominations and building compelling displays/promotional tables.
  • Set up of Space Planning tool to reflect store(s) layout and fixture profile(s)
  • Producing all drop planograms for sign off by the Buying teams
  • Working closely with the Merchandising team to ensure that sufficient stock is allocated to store(s) to support planograms
  • Liaising with key interfaces in Buying and Design Studio to ensure products and fixture register kept up to date
  • Ensuring all live planograms and store are easily accessible and up to date at all times
  • Historical drop plans are suitably stored for reference
  • Campaign layouts are suitably planned- highlighting commercial targets, critical analysis on campaigns’ successes and lessons learnt.
  • Regular insight given to space/layout- particularly “hot spot” activity and potential opportunities
  • Keeping a diary of plans/moves to ensure that key activities are annualised where needed
  • Assisting the Buying team visualise NPD products on fixtures and adjacencies
  • Assisting the International team produce planograms
  • Regular visits to all store(s) as required
  • Attendance to weekly department trade meeting and campaign to remain aware of the business strategy, current performance and contribute where required.
  • Feeding into range presentations and category reviews- analysis of space, sales and profit densities.
  • Recommendations for space optimisation.

Role Specific Criteria

  • Previous experience as an Assistant/Junior Branch Merchandiser is essential.
  • 3-4 years’ experience would be needed, ideally within a luxury environment.
  • Experience of Scorpion/Retail Smart planning tool highly desirable.
  • They should possess good analytical skills, be organised, communicate well, prioritise in order of business importance with good attention to detail. Personable- being able to communicate at all levels of the business and build excellent relationships. Skilled in translating analysis into insight.
