Our Head Office department is located in the heart of Piccadilly and occupies the 5th & 6th floor of our beautiful flagship store. This central London location, offers so much to explore including restaurants, bars, cultural sites, shopping and more, and only a short walk from the Green Park Tube Station and plenty of bus stops.

Summary of Role Scope:

To support the Board/Executive team and wider business through support of our Category & Buying & Merchandise Team and owning the Planning & Forecasting Process (see attached);
• Ownership & coordination of the planning, forecasting and strategic planning process for the business along with sensitivities / best case & worse case scenarios, BTAs
• Provision of analytical insight and commercial business decision support to category owners to help drive improved contribution, highlighting risks and opps to plans and forecast as they arise and help drive mitigation / explotative action
• provision of relevant, timely information to ensure informed and ‘optimal’ decisions are made;

Key Responsibilities:

• Own / deliver the budget, financial forecasts and operating plans and process for the business through development of current models / building of new model that is fit for purpose
• Keep business updated with BTA budget and targets. Hold menu of options re closing the gap where necessary
• Support, challenge and provide analytical insight - analyse current and past trends in KPIs highlighting commercial opportunities and risks in particular to revenue, margin, and costs
• Analyse financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management and executives for decision making purposes
• Provide financial information to category owners to support range reviews and price architecture reviews
• Evaluate NPD proposals supporting decision-making through commercial analysis of initiatives. Evaluate from an ROI and IRR perspective to ensure proposals meet company criteria and are aligned with business priorities.
• Perform ad hoc analysis as required
• Prepare presentations to Exec Board and Senior Management Team
• Coach non-financial managers in understanding information and using analysis to manage the business
• Develop close working relationships with key contacts to enable the business to understand planned activities and their impact
• Prioritise customer support accordingly and actively seek feedback to monitor how information provided has contributed to effective decision making

Personal Specification:

• ACCA, CIMA or ACA qualified + 5 years post qualified experience
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, ability to write / use macros, index matches, if formula, pivots etc
• Ability to develop data platforms and commercial reports. Proven track record in delivering and creating company reports.
• Experience in multi-unit retail/restaurant environments
• Strong leadership experience
• Highest standards of accuracy and precision;
• Highly organized and an ability to multi task at speed.
• Articulate with excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills
• Ability to think creatively, highly-driven and self-motivate
• Use of Business intelligence platform, such as Power BI, D365 or similar tools
• Ability to manage objections and conflicts in an effective way
• Experience of Microsoft DAX
• Experience of D365
