Visual Presentation Manager (FTC)

Located in the heart of Piccadilly in our beautiful flagship store. This central London location, offers so much to explore including restaurants, bars, cultural sites, shopping and more, and only a short walk from the Green Park Tube Station and plenty of bus stops.

Role Purpose:

Fortnum & Mason are looking for a Visual Presentation Project Manager to join the Fortnum’s Family! An important part of Fortnum’s identity is the manner in which we communicate with our customers, through our award winning window displays and the presentation of our products on the shop floor.

To work closely with the head of Visual, managing the instore visual team in the creation and installation of all elements of VM in the Piccadilly store. Including merchandising standards through to window displays.

Please note this is a fixed-term contract.

Key Accountabilities:

• Reporting to the Head of Visual in ensuring the delivery of all visual merchandising, both windows and instore are exciting, industry leading, commercial, inspiring and reflective of the Fortnum and Mason brand.
• Working closely with the management group, and other stakeholders to support with all VM requirements based on the retail Trading and Campaigns Calendars.
• Attending regular meetings with internal and external partners and deputising the Head of Visual when required.
• Heading an instore VM team to support all product launches, events and seasonal campaign changes in store.
• Working with internal and external teams to fullfill the VM elements of a new departments.
• Be responsible for adherence to the company’s high standards on VM design specification and execution and ensure quality control.
• Maintain an up to date knowledge of market trends in relation to VM designs and competitor intelligence, to ensure Fortnum and Mason is ahead of the curve and a point of difference.
• Support Head of Visual with all element of budget running within the department.
• Lead, direct, organise and motivate the team responsible for Visual Merchandising, making sure that they are fairly recognised, trained and rewarded.
• Ensure that the team have every opportunity to learn, develop and progress providing appropriate and structure training in order that people are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to perform their roles with confidence and progress in their careers

We expect the successful candidate to have the following skills and experience:

• Have excellent attention to detail and accuracy in the work that is produced.
• Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication
• Have an ability to review and analyse problems and provide sound judgement in solving issues.
• Has a proven track record of organizational and planning skills, to manage Campaigns Calendars
• Has a resilient and adaptability personality that is able to adjust to change and stressful environments.
• At least three years’ experience working as a VM Manager with strategic and planning experience gained from a head office role as well as practical implementation knowledge from working in the field.
• Have an excellent understanding of VM and design.
• A pragmatic mind and the ability to translate VM strategy into concise VM principles and create instructive tools and guidelines
• Must be able to demonstrate the ability to contribute and successfully deliver against a business strategy
• A strong team player that can manager stakeholders at all levels
• Has a high level of computer literacy with a solid grasp of in Design/Photoshop/ Illustrator/Power Point
• Undertake such duties as may reasonably be required by the CEO /Board/Head of Visual
