Fortnum & Mason are looking for an experienced and exceptional Retail Manager to lead a floor in our Flagship store in Piccadilly!
As a Retail Manager, you will interact with customers, senior managers and business leaders. Reporting to General Managers, your purpose will be to lead, inspire and develop a team of managers to ensure operational excellence is achieved and KPI’s are delivered in line with our Vision and Values.
As a Retail Manager, your key accountabilities will include:
• Leading your floor and ensuring it meets and exceeds F&M standards and targets
• Create and deliver an extraordinary customer experience, meeting sales & profit targets
• Coach and develop floor managers to ensure efficiency, leading by example
• Update your management team on business performance, new initiatives and other pertinent issues
• Take ownership of the weekly trade report and feedback key indicators for the week to the executive team and wider business
• Own monthly reporting for your floor (board report/business review) communicating highlights, lowlights, opportunities and risks for the period ahead
• Ensure adherence to company policies, controls and standards (e.g. due diligence, cleanliness, cash handling, H&S, dress code standards etc.)
• Monitor and maintain inventory, follow up on discrepancies and ensuring full stock availability to customers at all times
• Develop strong working relationships both with internal and external stakeholders to be able to influence key commercial decision

• Demonstrate high levels of planning, organising, and time management to drive the operational execution across the department
Our successful candidate will possess prior experience working in a similar fast-paced and customer-facing role, ideally within the luxury market. You will have proven experience in managing team performance and must be fully flexible and able to work varying shifts, including late store closings, weekends and bank holidays.
